BLACK PANTHER- An Intro (English)

Civil War - Black Panther

By now, majority of us, would have watched the super cool #CivilWar already. Some might even have watched it, in multiple counts. The movie is now easily the best of Marvel and even one of the best superhero movie ever made. The strong box-office results all over the globe is proving this point of mine. Of all the Superheroes we had in the movie, there is no denying that #Spiderman and #BlackPanther were the ones that really stole the show, given their brief appearances. Spiderman is now relatively, the most popular superhero, even for a non-comic reader, courtesy the 5 solo spderman movies we have had. So I thought of sharing a short description about our newer superhero- Black Panther. This post details on who is Black Panther & his history, his powers and his importance in the Marvel movies. (Plz do relate every point with its equivalently numbered images. 10 images & 10 points)

1) Black Panther in the movie Civil War, is been portrayed by Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa. In the comics, Black Panther is a hereditary title that is passed on from person to person, in the fictional african country called Wakanda. Once a person earns the title Black Panther, he becomes the King and the protector of Wakanda, its tribes, and its resources.

2) Wakanda is a tribal country and it is the most richest and wealthiest in the whole Marvel comics. It is a technologically advanced land that blends super-science with the traditions of tribal life. Its the only place on earth with the resources of the vibranium- the strongest metal on earth. Captain america's Shield, Winter Soldier's Metal arm, and Ultron's body all were made from Vibranium. Vibranium is also forged into Black Panther's body armor.

3) Though we see the people of Wakanda, for the first time, in Civil war, there were certain hints or references about the country in previous Marvel movies. In Iron Man-2, Wakanda was marked as a "hot-spot" for activities monitorized by S.H.I.E.L.D. And in #AgeOfUltron, Wakanda is directly mentioned by Bruce Banner.

4) Also in Age of Ultron, we get to see a character called 'Ulysses Klaue'(Played by Andy Serkis)- a black-market arms dealer, smuggler and gangster operating out of South Africa and the one who gives Vibranium metal to Ultron. This is actually a modified version of comic character called 'Klaw', a major Black Panther villain, who wears a sonic emitter as a prosthetic for his right hand. In the movie we get to see him losing his left arm in an argument with Ultron. Since 'Klaue' is confirmed as one of the villains in the upcoming Black Panther's solo movie, we might see him return as his comic counter-part with the sonic emitter.

5) In the comics 'Klaw' is the one who kills T'Chaka (Father of T'Challa). After his father was killed, T'Challa dons the Black Panther suit, mainly to kill Klaw. But in Civil War, T'Chaka is killed in a bombing caused by Bucky (Winter Soldier). So after the death of his father, T'Challa becomes the Black Panther and avenges to kill Bucky, similar to the comic story arc.

6) Black Panther's powers includes Superhuman agility, Superhuman strength, Superhuman senses, Superhuman stamina, Superhuman durability, Superhuman speed, Healing factor, and Black Panther Knowledge (the power to draw all the knowledge, strength, and every experience from every previous Black Panther). And adding a Vibranium made Body suit, he is absolutely invulnerable to any threats.

7) Black Panther's abilities includes Genius-level Intellect ,Master Combatant, Weapons Master, Master Acrobat, Expert Marksman, Master Tactician, Expert Tracker & Hunter, Multilingual, Master Inventor.

8) In the comics, Black Panther is married to 'Ororo Munroe'. She is a weather manipulating mutant and a prominent member of X-Men called as 'Storm'.

9) The Godfathers of Marvel comics, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, are the creators of the character Black Panther. And Stan lee appears in a cameo role, in every Marvel movies being produced. (Including Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Civil War)

10) Black Panther, for the first time, was introduced in 1966 in the #FantasticFour issue #52, in comics. Exactly, 50 years later, we now have him as a live action character in a movie.
